This blue and black 1946 Chevrolet Model DS Series 3800 1 ton commercial wrecker tow truck with dual wheels is a very straight, no rust project truck ready to be serviced and restored. The body is very straight and rust-free. The grill is very straight. It has surface rust and needs to be replated. The paint is peeling in places. The Ashton wrecker box and boom are in good condition. The Brandon PTO winch is all there and in working condition. The interior is all there. The has about 12,000 original miles and last ran in 2006. The motor is complete except the air cleaner is missing. This low-miles Chevy wrecker would make a great mascot truck for a towing company or restored as the show truck.
