This 1965 Rambler Ambassador 990 convertible is a very complete project car ready to be restored. Only 3.499 were made of this model. The body has straight and solid western desert sheet metal. There is a little surface rust where the paint has peeled. There may be some rust in the lower right door. Otherwise the car is very straight and solid. The windshield is good and the windshield frame assembly is all there. The condition of the flat glass is unknown. The left door is spring and the sheet metal in damaged, primarily on the door side of the hinge seam. Otherwise, the body is dent-free. The left door handle is loose and the door locks on both sides need work. The top headlight trim pieces are missing. The side mirrors and antenna are gone. The left quarter top trim is off and inside the car. The rear bumper is pulled out on the top left. The stop light lenses need to be replaced. The right front fender badge "E" letter is missing. The hubcaps are missing. The red bucket seat interior is all there except the horn rung is missing. The top is complete. The floors look solid although they have not been completely inspected. The condition of the trunk floor is unknown and the deck lid is locked and there is no key. The odometer reads 75,608. The hood is stuck. The 327 CID V-8 OHV V4 250 HP motor and automatic transmission are complete. The car was driven to the location where we bought the car 20 years ago.
