This 1954 Kaiser Darrin Series 161 two seater roadster sport convertible is an extremely scarce classic car ready to be restored. Only 435 Darrin-Darrin cars were made and this car is serial number 161131, the 131th one built. They were only built in 1954. The car was owned by a long-time Kaiser-Darrin enthusiast in Concord, California. The car was taken to a shop two years ago where it was partially-disassembled for restoration. One month ago the man died, leaving the shop with an outstanding bill. The shop owner Pete thought he was going to have to go through the mechanics lien process to gain ownership until he talked to me. I am now told that Pete has contacted the widow and is wants to cooperate and sell the car because she now knows the value of the car. She has the title and there are apparently boxes and boxes of extra parts in her garage. It looks mostly complete. The fiberglass body is very good and lots of body work has already been done. The chassis and sheet frame components all look solid. There are extra bumpers, doors and many other extra parts that come with the car. The Production Type Kaiser Darrin Six 161 CID Willys 90 HP F-head six cylinder motor and transmission are out of the car. Here is your chance to own an extremely-scarce Kaiser Darrin roadster. Please call (406) 318-0270 for details about this restorable classic 54 Darrin roadster project car.
