This red and gray 1948 Willys-Overland Series VJ2 two door 4X2 phaeton convertible is a nice mostly original car ready to be driven, shown and enjoyed. 1948 is the first year the Jeepster was made. The car has older and not perfect paint. The body has dry and straight western desert sheet metal. The white top is original. The left rear floor step casting is broken in one corner. The interior is all original except the driver seat has been reupholstered and the colors and pattern are not correct. The dash and gauges are complete. The floors are solid. The column shift has been replaced with a floor shifter conversion kit. The 134 CID inline four cylinder L-head 63 HP motor and three speed manual shift transmission work normally.
