Desert Classics...1960 Lincoln-Continental Mark V 2 Door Hardtop with Convertible Top

This Polaris white 1960 Lincoln-Continental Mark V body style 65A 2 door hardtop with complete convertible top is a mostly complete car ready to be restored into a high-dollar convertible. Only 1,461 two door hardtops and 2,044 convertibles were made in 1960. The body is fairly straight except for some small dents here and there. The car has rusted rockers, front and rear fender tails, inner rockers and outer floors. The trunk is stuck and the trunk floor condition is unknown. Otherwise the body is solid. The hood ornament, antenna, rocker trim and rear skirts are missing. The windshield and driver door glass are cracked. The left rear side glass is gone. The left side of the front bumper and left side of the rear bumper are pulled out. The interior is all there. The right door panel is off and in the front seat. The 430 CID 300 V-8 motor and automatic transmission are all there. The running and driving condition is unknown. The top is complete except there is no convertible windshield frame. All the rest of the top is there, including the top assembly, brackets and motors, wiring, rear seat, rear window and retractable top panel. There is some rust on the sheet metal plates attached to the rear bows but the bows themselves are solid. In order to make the car into a convertible the unibody hardtop sheet metal needs to be reinforced. Here is your chance to built a high-value 1960 Continental convertible.
