This yellow 1962 Crofton Brawny Bug midget-sized Jeep-type 4 passenger 4X2 utility vehicle is an all original survivor car ready to be restored are used the way it is. The Crofton Bug was a continuation of the Crosley Farm-O-Road with some minor changes. Only 200 were built by W.B. Crofton of Crofton Marine Engine Company of San Diego, California. The body has solid, straight, dry Montana sheet metal. This Bug has the Brawny kit option which included six speeds forward, 2 reverse transmission, PowerLok differential, deluxe seats, crash pad 9missing) and 9.00 x 10 tires and wheels. It is unknown how many Bugs out of the 200 had the Brawny option. The windshield is cracked. The seat cushions are missing but the frames are all there. The car has an add-on tow bar. The Bug is powered by the famous Crosley 44 CID 4 cylinder OHV inline 4 cylinder 35 HP motor. The power train includes a 3 speed transmission and hi/low box and limited slip differential. The motor runs well and we are in the process of rebuilding the transmissions. The odometer reads 16,741 miles and this is the original mileage.
