This blue 1953 GMC XM-215 6X6 tandem twin screw dump truck is a very complete commercial vehicle ready to be restored. This truck was originally a dump truck as indicated on the VIN plate. The dump bed and hoist are gone and the truck now has a frame-mounted stake bed. The truck has low and high range and 4X6 to 6X6 shifter which shifts the rear tandem axle in and out. There are some dents in the body. The front bumper and splash pan have some dents and bents. The tandem axle dual wheels are missing. The hood has some dents in the front. The behind-cab running board steps are gone. There are some dents in the lower back of the cab. The front hubs are off and in the cab. This truck has separate drive lines for the tandem axles and the rear axle drive line is out and inside the cab. The interior as all stock, except a shift handle has been welded to the high/low shifter post. The original black bucket seats are there. The dash and gauges are all there. The floor is solid. The heater core is out and on the cab floor. The firewall has been cut below the steering column. The 303 CID OHV inline six cylinder motor and four speed manual floor shift transmission are all there. This truck was running and driving and driven to it's current storage location about ten years ago. The fuel and brakes will need to be cleaned and serviced to put the truck back into service.
