This yellow 1978 GMC Series 1500 Sierra Grande 1/2 ton wideside pickup truck is a fairly complete project truck ready to be restored or customized. This truck was a service vehicle for the Butte-Silver Bow road department here in Butte Montana. The truck has rust around the wheel wells, in the fender tails and in the rockers. All the glass is good and it has a sliding rear window. There is a dent in the right front of the hood. The left headlight surround trim is missing. Both front fender side reflectors are missing. Both doors are sprung and the hinges and sheet metal on both sides of the hinge seam are bent. The side trim is bent and dented. There is a dent in the left rear box corner. The tail gate is dented. The box floor is solid and has cargo denting. There is a dent in the right rear fender behind the wheel well. The truck has a spot light add-on trailer mirrors and a heavy duty rear bumper. The truck has a brown bench seat interior and the seat has a cover. The dash and gauges are apart. The gauge panel is on the floor. All the gauges, radio, speaker and glove box door are missing. The horn button is gone. The window crank handles are missing. The cab floor is rusted. The truck has power steering and power brakes. The 350 CID OHV 165 HP V-8 motor and automatic transmission are all there. Nothing is taken off the motor and it looks like a runner. However, the running and driving condition is unknown.
