This Tiffany blue 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT convertible is an extremely-scarce classic muscle car ready to be restored. Only 2,158 66 Cyclone GT convertibles were made and it is unknown how many were 4 speed optioned. This is a GT-optioned 390 CID V-8 335 motor car with optional 4 speed manual transmission. The motor and transmission are gone. The body is solid and straight, except the left front fender is dented and the left door has been slightly sprung. The grill has some minor bends. The lower headlight assembles are gone. The tail and backup light lenses are broken. The rear bumper has been pulled out on the right side. The trunk lock is gone. The top is all there. One small steel top piece is broken but it is repairable. The windshield and trim are good. The tan interior is all there except the console insert and radio are gone. The dash pad has one small crack. The front bucket seats and rear seat are all there. The floors are fairly good, except there is some rust in the driver pan under the emergency brake pedal. The rest of the floors have not been completely inspected and some additional deterioration might be expected. The trunk floor is solid.
