This 1955 Pontiac Chieftain 870 Deluxe 2 door post sedan is a fairly good classic vehicle body and chassis ready to be restored or customized. A relatively small number of these two door posts were made with a total of 28,950 produced in 1955, compared to 72,608 Catalina Deluxe 2 door hardtops. The body has solid and dry western desert sheet metal. The right side has been hit on the door. The door needs to be replaced. The rear of the right front fender and front of the right quarter are also damaged. The right door sill is pushed in and needs to be replaced. There is a crease along the bottom of the left door. The hood Pontiac letters and headlight trim are missing. The center grill painted insert is damaged in the center the left side and the lower chrome bumper is dented. The left center grill trim band is gone. The stop and backup light lenses are broken or missing. The rear bumper is dented in the center. The curved front and rear glass are good. The flat quarter glass is broken. The two tone blue interior is missing the front seat, radio and center horn emblem. There is a not stock cover over the radio hole. The dash and gauges are all there. The speaker grill badge is missing. The rear seat is there. The floor is solid. The 287 CID OHV 173 HP V-8 motor and automatic transmission are gone.
