This very scarce 1948 John Deere Model D with optional steering brakes and brake set lever is a solid Idaho project tractor ready to be restored. The scarce steering brakes are a rare option and the ever-scarcer brake set lever was only an option on the optional steering brake tractors. The fenders are dented. The hood, air cleaner stack, exhaust pipe, magneto and generator are missing. The motor is stuck. The right front wheel is missing but we have one that will come on the tractor. The rubber is no good. The serial number is 178260. The tractor will be loaded on a flatbed with a loader. This is an opportunity to acquire a very scarce brake-optioned 1948 JD Model D.
