This green 1949 Ford F-4 V-8 one ton flatbed hoist dump truck is a very solid, straight low miles vehicle ready to be restored or serviced and put to work. This truck has 32,063 original miles which is unheard-of in a work truck of this vintage. The body is very straight and rust-free. There are a couple small dents in the right front center Ford panel and in both fenders. The front bumper is bent up on the inner left side. The running boards, sills and rear cab corners are solid. There is a dent in the back of the left running board. The rear flat glass window is cracked. The truck has aftermarket turn signals with top fender mounted front lights and rear hanging rear lights. The right rear turn light is gone and the right rear running light is damaged. The flat bed hydraulic dump bed is steel construction with removable wood side boards. The truck has a heavy-duty trailer hitch. The interior is very complete and original. It has good seat. The floors are solid. The gauges all look good. The speaker insert is broken in the upper left corner. The "Magic Air" heater badge is dented. There are two controls for the dump.on the left dash. One engages the pump and the other runs the dump up and down. The 239 CID L-head flat head V-8 and 4 speed manual transmission are all there. The truck was used around the ranch 2 summers ago to haul gravel and the motor, brakes and dump was working well. The brake pedal now goes to the floor. At best it needs brake fluid and have the brakes bled and at worst it needs new master cylinder and slave seals. The condition of the brake pads and drums are unknown.
