This black 1940 Ford Series 02Y Model 83 one ton express pickup is a solid and complete Montana ranch truck ready to restored. The truck is the same as a 3/4 ton with fender-mounted headlights except the box is reinforced and it has heavier wheels for the higher 1 ton load rating. The grill is gone. The left grill-opening sheet metal is cut and the right is bent. The fenders are dented, cracked and have welded repair areas in places. The left fender has a support strap in the back bottom. The cab, doors and hood are solid and straight. The box has some dents and the tail gate have been patched and reinforced. The hardwood box floor with steel skid strips is fairly good. The rear lights and reflectors need work. The rear bumper has been replaced with an add-on trailer hitch. The black interior is all there. The dash is complete and the gauges are all there. There is some rust in the passenger floor. The seat core is there. The optional 221 CID L-head 85 HP V-8 motor is complete and not stuck.
