This 1940 Ford 1 1/2 ton beverage truck is a hard-to-find commercial vehicle ready to be restored. The vehicle shows 16,000 GVW on the side. This is the largest commercial truck Ford made in 1940. The body has solid, dry Idaho desert sheet metal. There are dents in the hood, fenders and cap. The doors and cab running boards are fairly good. The grill is gone. The beverage box is missing the sides. The running boards are bend, especially on the right side and back. The back of the box is dented. The racks look like they are in good useable condition. The interior is all there. The floor is solid. The 221 CID L-head 85 HP V-8 and four speed manual transmission are all there. The running condition is unknown. One of the rear dual wheels is missing. There is no spare. Once restored, this truck would be perfect as a promotional mascot vehicle for a beverage company.
