This 1962 Mercury Monterey Custom 4 door sedan is a mostly-complete classic car ready to be restored or customized. The car has solid and dry western desert sheet metal, except there is rust around back of the right rear wheel well and in the tail of the left front fender. The right headlight assembly is gone. Both ends of the front bumper appear to be bent out a little. The right rear door is off the car. It appears to have been repaired and the side trim is missing. There are old repair areas in both rear quarter panels and there are new dents after the repair work was apparently done. There is a dent in the back of the right front door. There is a small dent in the right side of the deck lid and the deck lid lip trim and trunk lock are missing. The bottom of the rear bumper has been pulled out in a couple places. The driver door exterior mirror glass is missing. The hood appears to have been replaced because the primer is not the same as the rest of the car. The windshield and rear glass are good. Some of the flat door glass may be broken or gone. The brown and white interior is missing the rear seat, radio and cigarette lighter. The dash gauges are all there. The heater assembly is out and on the front seat. The heater core is missing. The floors and trunk bottom are solid. The car has an optional 390 CID 300 HP 4V Super Marauder OHV V-8 motor. The radiator, carburetor and some front external motor parts are missing. The optional three speed Multi-Drive automatic transmission, bell housing and torque converter are gone. The drive line is in the trunk. The car came with power steering and power brakes. Here is your chance to restore or customize a 62 Merc family sedan with a big V-8 motor.
