This municipal light green 1952 GMC XM-211 6X6 ten wheel water tanker pumper with PTO winch is a very complete government fire truck ready to be restored or put back in service. The number "302" truck was used for fire suppression in the City of West Yellowstone Montana until we bought it from the municipality. This is a dual tandem twin screw full time 6X6 truck with air brakes. The truck has 15,620 original miles. We drove the truck from the city yard to the transporter a couple years ago. The body is solid and straight. The PTO winch and cable are there. The truck has a PTO-driven high volume CR pump for filling the tank and delivering water from a fire hose, with the controls on the left front of the box. The tank, mounting in a fixed steel factory flatbed with side rails, has a 1,000 gallon capacity. The 10 tires are serviceable. The truck has a heavy-duty 302 CID OHV inline six cylinder 130 HP with a 4" bore and 4" stroke with 7" connecting rods. This is the desirable, hard-to-find and sought-after hot rod and Bonneville racer motor, used because of it's very high horsepower when modified for speed and power. The motor runs well. The truck has a two speed Allison hydramatic transmission with high/low ranges. The transmission has a "Hilly" shifter option which provides full engine braking on steep slopes. The truck has a fuel pump/filter problem in the gas tank and needs to be fixed. We have run the truck on a portable fuel cell. Here is your chance to own a piece of Yellowstone Park fire fighting history. Please call (406) 318-0270 for details about this restorable classic 1952 GMC 6X6 project truck. For sale $3,000.
