This Diamond blue 1960 Ford Thunderbird convertible is a mostly complete classic car ready to be restored or customized. Only 11,820 Thunderbird convertibles were made in 1960. The car has optional power steering, power brakes and power windows. The car has dry and solid western desert sheet metal, except there is rust in the top of the left door. This is a common problem with 60 T-Bird doors as there is a channel inside the door that holds the window wiper, which traps water and causes the top of the door to rust. The front left fender tip and bumper side are damaged. There is a dent in the front of the right front fender. There are dents in both rear quarter panels. The right door Thunderbird emblem is broken. The left outer stop light lenses is broken and we have a new replacement lens. The top frame is folded up in the back and is all there. The top hydraulic pump, linkage and rams are all there. The gear in the electric top flipper motor is broken. The blue interior is all there except the dash pad assembly and trim are missing. The gauges and dash panel are complete. We have the two console ash trays and electric window control. We have the back side panels. The floors and trunk bottom are solid. The car has the standard 352 CID 4V OHV 300 HP V-8 motor and Cruise-O-Matic three speed automatic transmission are all there. We rebuilt the carburetor and the motor runs well at an idler. It smoked a little when we started it and then cleared up. None of the valves or lifters were stuck. The transmission works. The brakes need to be rebuilt.
