This beige 1936 Dodge Model LE16 1 ton delivery truck is a mostly complete vintage truck ready to be restored of customized. This is a commercial cowl and chassis with a custom-build coach body with heavy-duty one ton chassis and wheels. The truck was originally painted red and I believe it was originally built by a commercial coach builder as an ambulance or fire truck. The original coach body appears to be a convention full metal van body. The van body was cut off to make a pickup box. The van's rear doors were used for the back of the cab. It appears that the original body had a forward side right van access door which was cut off with the sides. The grill is not stock and the Dodge ornament is missing. The body has solid and dry western desert sheet metal, except there is a rusted area in the left front side of the box and below the right side door of the box. The fenders are dented. The left rear lower box panel is missing. The box corners are dented. The black and red interior is all there, except the shifter knob is missing. The floors are solid. The 201 CID L-head inline six cylinder 70 HP motor and four speed manual floor shift transmission are all there. The running and driving condition is known. Here is your chance to build a unique 36 Dodge commercial truck. Please call (406) 318-0270 for details about this restorable classic 1936 Dodge project truck.
