This Surf grey 1950 Studebaker Commander Deluxe Model 17A Starlight "Bullet Nose" 2 door hardtop is a fairly complete body and chassis ready to be restored or customized. Only 4,383 were made in 1950. The roof is caved in and all the glass is broken. The front center windshield support post is missing and the rear center trim is dented. There are some small dents here and there in the body. The right headlight surround trim is gone. The parking lenses are missing. The right top fender trim is gone. There are some small dents in the inside of the left front fender. The hood ornament is damaged. The left front fender and left front bumper edge are pushed back and there is a bow in the fender in the wheel well. The left chrome rock guard is missing. The tail light assemblies are missing. There are dents in the right front and side of the deck lid. The deck lid trunk badge and assembly are missing. The right rear splash panel below the bumper is pulled out. There is a trailer hitch. The dark blue and grey interior is all there except the door and rear side panels, inside handles, rear dash mirror, ash tray and horn button are missing. The dash and gauges are complete except the gauge glasses are broken. The floors and trunk bottom are solid. The 170 CID L-head inline 85 HP six cylinder motor is loose and has been stripped to the block. The radiator and transmission are gone.
