This grey primer 1966 Checker Marathon Series A12 four door sedan is a very straight and complete classic car ready to be restored. This is a civilian model and has never been used as a taxi cab. Only 1,056 of the 5,761 Checker sedans were civilian models and not taxicabs like this one. The car was originally white. The body is straight, solid and complete except the rocker bottoms are dented and there is a little rust below the tail lights. There are a few little dents in the body. The grill and bumpers have some small dents. All the glass is good except the windshield is cracked. The car has chrome wheels with baby moon hubcaps. The original wheels and hubcaps come with the car. The red and white vinyl and fabric interior is in good condition except there is a cut in the left rear side panel and a couple tears in the white headliner. There is a factory divider curtain that works between the seats or in the back window. The dash pad is cracked. There is rust in both front outer sides of the front floor. The dash and gauges are complete. The odometer reads 26,976 and it has turned over at least once. The car has an optional Chevrolet 327 CID "Target Master 350" 250 HP V-8 motor and automatic transmission. The motor was running when the car was parked 11 years ago. It now runs rough and needs some work. The air cleaner is missing. The car has not been driven in many years and the brakes and fuel system need to be gone through. Don't miss this chance to restore a 66 Marathon civilian sedan. Please call (406) 318-0270 for details about this restorable classic 1966 Checker project car.
