This red 1956 Ford F-5 2 ton LCF low-cab-forward short wheel base semi tractor is a fairly scarce commercial configuration truck ready to be restored of customized. The truck has solid and straight western desert sheet metal except both upper steps are rusted and have been patched. There is also a little rust in the ends of the lower steps. The windshield is broken. The hood badges are off and inside the truck. The wiper arms are gone. The five roof light lenses are missing. The left turn signal assembly is missing and the right one has the lens missing. The left side mirror is gone and the right frame is there without the mirror. The truck has a fifth wheel, dual side-mounted fuel tanks and a PTO mechanical winch behind the cab. All of the rear mounting brackets and dual wheel fenders are shop-made. Both rear fenders are damaged. The dash and gauges are all there except the ignition switch, cigarette light and glove box handle are missing. The winch and air emergency brake controls are mounted on the steering column. The original seats are there. The floor is solid. The truck has an engine-mounted air compressor and has rear trailer air hookups and air brakes. It has a two-speed rear axle.
