This 1949 Chevrolet Series 3600 3/4 ton 125 " long wheel base pickup is a fairly complete truck ready to be restored. The sheet metal is solid and there are dents in the body, grill, fenders, doors, running boards and box. The front bumper is missing. The curved 5 window glass is good. Most of the flat glass is good. The driver side windshield is broken. The truck has aftermarket front fender turn signals and the lenses are missing. The rear lights are missing. The lower rear corners of the cab are rusted and this is typical of 47-54 Chevy trucks. Aftermarket patch panels are available for this truck. The top edges of the box have some cracks. The box bottom is lined with a piece of sheet metal. It has a home-made trailer hitch. The interior is all there. The speedometer is damaged and there is a dash-mounted non-stock radio. The floors are solid. The 216 CID OHV inline six cylinder motor is mostly all there but the motor has a thrown rod and has a hole in the lower block. The truck comes with a good Montana title.
We have a good, complete rebuildable core 216 six and transmission at an extra charge. Five window 49 Chevy trucks are very popular and this one has very solid sheet metal. Please call (406) 318-0270 for details about this restorable classic project car. For sale $1,500; with the motor/trans core $1,800.
